What is the difference between fire resistant particle board and NFR particle board?
Fire Particle board, also known as fire particle board, is a kind of wood-based panel made by cutting all kinds of branches and buds, small-diameter wood, fast-growing wood, sawdust, etc. into pieces of a certain size, after drying, mixing with glue, hardener, waterproof agent, etc., under a certain temperature and pressure, the particle arrangement is uneven. Although particleboard is also called particle board, it is not the same kind of board as solid wood particle board. The processing technology of solid wood particle board is similar to that of fire particle board, but its quality is much higher than that of nfr particleboard.
Fire particle board can be divided into three layers. According to the water resistance, it is divided into indoor water resistance and outdoor water resistance. According to the arrangement of particlesin the slab, there are two types: directional type and random type. In addition, there are various particleboards made of non wood materials such as cotton stalk, hemp stalk, bagasse and rice husk, and cement wood wool board and cement particleboard made of inorganic adhesive materials. There are many specifications of particleboard, the thickness ranges from 1.6 mm to 75 mm, and the standard thickness is 44 mm.
When evaluating the quality of particleboard, the physical properties such as density, moisture content, water absorption and thickness expansion rate are often considered. The mechanical properties include static bending strength, vertical tensile strength (internal bonding strength), elastic modulus of nail holding force and rigid modulus, etc. the technological properties include machinability, adhesiveness, paint coating, etc. For fire particle board for special use, electrical, acoustic, thermal, anticorrosive, fireproof and flame retardant properties should be considered respectively .

According to the European classification (EN 13501-1) class B-s1, d0 is covered and according to the classification (DIN 4102) class B1 is covered.
