How particleboard is made

The fiber raw materials that can be used for particleboard production are becoming more and more common due to the development of technology, which is one of the important reasons for the rapid development of particleboard. Available raw materials are:

① Small diameter grade or inferior materials. Among the woods harvested in the forest area, the larger-diameter wood is mainly used in other industries. The particleboard factory only uses the small-diameter thinning wood, fuel wood, fast-growing wood, inferior wood, multi-section and curved wood, and twig wood.

② Wood processing residues from particleboard manufacturers. Board skin is a good raw material for particle board, but it is generally used in the pulp and paper industry. A large number of plant shavings made from wood shaving and milling are used, but simpler tree species are required.

Flax shavings and bagasse are excellent fiber raw materials for particleboard. They are used to make particleboard, and their product density is low and their performance is good, especially for stress-bearing components with thermal insulation properties. They have their unique advantages and are economically reasonable. Cotton stalks, wheat straw, rice husks, and bamboo can also be used in the production of particleboard.
