Solid wood particle board is only similar in processing technology to particle board, but its quality is much higher than particle board.

According to the surface condition:

1. Unfinished particle board: sanded particle board; unsanded particle board.

2. Facing particle board: impregnated paper facing particle board; decorative laminate facing particle board; veneer facing particle board; surface coating particle board; PVC facing particle board, etc.

According to the product, particleboard is divided into three types: low density (0.25～0.45 g/cm3), medium density (0.45～0.60 g/cm3), and high density (0.60～1.3 g/cm3), but most of the density is usually produced. 0.60～0.70 g/cm3 particle board. According to the slab structure, there are three structures: single layer, three layers (including multiple layers), and gradual change. According to the water resistance, it is divided into indoor and outdoor water resistance. According to the arrangement of shavings in the slab, there are two types: directional type and random type. In addition, there are various particle boards made of non-wood materials such as cotton stalks, hemp stalks, bagasse, rice husks, etc., as well as cement wood wool boards and cement particle boards made of inorganic adhesive materials. Particleboard has many specifications, ranging in thickness from 1.6 mm to 75 mm, with 19 mm as the standard thickness. When evaluating the quality of particleboard, the physical properties that are often considered include density, moisture content, water absorption, thickness expansion, etc., and mechanical properties include static bending strength, vertical board surface tensile strength (internal bonding strength), and nail-holding elasticity Modulus and rigidity modulus, etc., in terms of process properties, there are machinability, glueability, paint finish and so on. For special-purpose particleboards, electrical, acoustic, thermal, anti-corrosion, fire-proof, and flame-retardant properties should also be considered for different purposes.
